Getting to Caltech

Only applies in years in which the competition is not held entirely virtually.

Campus Map

From the 210, take the exit to Lake Ave. Head south on Lake Ave for about a mile, and then take a left onto California Blvd. Drive past Wilson Ave, and then take a right at the first light. The entrance to the underground parking garage will be on your right.

From the 110, go north until the highway ends. Go an additional half a mile, and then take a right onto California Blvd. Go along California Blvd for about a mile. Drive past Wilson Ave, and then take a right at the first light. The entrance to the underground parking garage will be on your right.

Parking is free in any non-reserved space. (If the space has a number on it, that's fine, but if it has a name on it, don't park there.)

The competition will start in Baxter Lecture Hall, which is in Baxter (it's the circled building in the middle of the map). Walk north from the parking garage towards California Blvd. Cross California Blvd and keep walking north up the stairs. You should pass Millikan Library (a nine-story building) on your left. Keep going north until you see Beckman Auditorium, a white circular building. There is a large grassy area leading up to it, and Baxter is the long building on the right side of this grassy area. Enter from the side door on the southeast end of the building (not the main doors on the south end), and climb the stairs until you see signs for the competition.
